Remoras:

There are four families and eight species of remoras found in tropical and subtropical waters. Four are found in the Maldives. These two are the most common. The grey ones are short suckerfish (live sharksucker), Remora remora. The striped one is slender sharksucker, Echenis naucrates. Remoras have a sucker disk on top of the head which evolved from a spinous fin into a series of laminae.
