Batfish
Batfish (Platax) are Indo-Pacifc reef-associated fish of the family Ephippidae. There are five extant species, three of which occur in the Maldives. Adults are disc-shaped with laterally-compressed bodies and large dorsal and anal fins, giving them a triangular profile.
