We visited Jordan in November, 2009. Officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the region has been inhabited by humans since Neolithis times. During the Greco-Roman period, several cities were established as part of the Decapolis, ten Greek Hellenistic cities on the esstern frontier of the Greek and late Roman Empire.
