Bangkok is full of wats (Buddhist temples). Our favorite was Wat Po (Wat Chetuphon, Temple of the Reclining Buddha), but Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) and the Marble Temple (Wat Benchamabophit)are also beautiful.
Wat Po (Wat Pho, Wat Chetuphon, Temple of the Reclining Buddha) is on Rattanakosin Island just south of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, The reclining Buddha is 46 m long.
Wat Arun Ratchawaram Ratchawaramahwihan is in the west Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River.
The Marble Temple (Wat Benchamabophit Dusitranaram) began construction in 1899. It is built of Italian marble.
