Ayutthaya

 Ayutthaya, just north of Bangkok, was an early capital of Thailand. Thw ruins are now a historical park. The city was founded in 1351 by King Ramathibodi I. It was captured by the Burmese in 1569. It remained the capital of the country until its destruction by the Burmese in 1767.
