Philippines Photo Gallery: Anilao gurnards

We took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016.We returned in November 2024.

Gurnards have greatly-enlarged pectoral fins. They walk along sandy bottoms using their pelvic fins. They eat crustaceans, other small invertebrates, and small fish.
