Solor boxfish, Ostracion solorensisWe took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016.
Boxfish are square bony fish related to pufferfish and filefish. Their hexagonal plate-like scales are fused together into a solid, triangular or box-like carapace. They swim in a rowing manner.
