Philippines Photo Gallery: Anilao blennies

We took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016. We returned in November 2024.

Blennies are small fish with elongated bodies and relatively large eyes and mouths.

Hairtail (snake) blenny, Xiphasia setifer

Fangblennies, or sabretooth blennies, have two large, curved canine teeth in the front of their lower jaws which are used for defense.
