Panama

We visited Panama for wildlife (mostly bird) photography in January, 2024. Panama boasts the richest avifauna in Central America, with 940 recorded species, including eleven endemics and 66 species shared only with Costa Rica. There are also 218 mammal species, including several endemics, 226 reptiles, and 164 amphibians. While our trip was marred by a robbery, we still managed to do most of the planned photography, some of it using borrowed lenses, as well as Charlotte's photo flight over the Panama Canal.
