Newfoundland: Avalon and Bonavista Scenery
The windswept Avalon and Bonavista Peninsulas have areas of northern boreal conifer forests and of tundra. The shoreline is rocky. Icebergs drift down from Greenland. The weather is often foggy. The Newfoundland ponies are very small, sweet-tempered, and have thick coats. This far north, the last weekend in May the daffodils are in full bloom.
