Elliston

Elliston is a fishing settlement on the Bonavista Peninsula. It was once called Bird Island Cove. Its 135 root cellars make the village the "root cellar capital of the world". The puffin colony is on Maberly Road near Circular Road, in Elliston, at the northern tip of the Bonavista Peninsula. The colony is on sea stacks just offshore.
