The Manambolo River gorge forms the southern edge of the karst plateau of Bemaraha, accessed from Bekopaka.
The tombs of the Vazimba tribal peoples are visible from the river. They were the original inhabitants of Madagascar and were very small, only about a meter tall. There are many legends and stories about the Vazimba.
