Tangkoko Nature Reserve (Tangkoko Batuangas) is near Bitung, 70km from Manado, in North Sulawesi.
The black-crested macaque (Celebes crested macaque), Macaca nigra, is a diurnal rainforest monkey, eating mostly fruit. About 5500 remain.
The spectral tarsier (Selayar tarsier), Tarsius tarsier, is a nocturnal monkey and eats almost entirely insects.
The Sulawesi Bear cuscus, Allurops ursinus, is an arborial marsupial. They are diurnal and eat leaves.
The green-backed kingfisher, Actenoides monachus, is endemic to Indonesia, restricted to North and Central Sulawesi and the islands of Manadotua and Lembeh.
