Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon, at the edge of Breidamerkurjokull glaicier, lies in the southeastern part of Iceland. The lagoon is only about one hundred years old, and is expanding so quickly that it threatens the Ring Road. The lagoon is the outer extent of a 20 km fjord extending inland under the glacier.
