Akureyri

Akureyri, in North Iceland, is Iceland's fourth-largest city, with a population of around eighteen thousand. It lies at the head of Eyjarfjorthur, Iceland's longest fjord (60 km). It was settled in the 9th century and is an important port and fishing center due to its ice-free harbor. The entire town is geothermally heated.
