Ecuador Photo Gallery: owls

We visited Ecuador in November, 2019.

Barn owls have large heads and heart-shaped faces, and strong legs with powerful talons. Other owls are solitary nocturnal birds of prey with forward-facing eyes and ears, hawk-like beaks, and a conspicuous circle of feathers around each eye. There are twenty-nine species.
