We visited Ecuador in November, 2019.
These are large wading birds with long necks and legs. They fly with their necks retracted. Twenty-two species are found in Ecuador.

Cocoi heron, Ardea cocoi
Snowy egret, Egretta thala
Cattle egret, Bubulcus ibis
