We visited Ecuador in November, 2019.
We operated the CQ WW CW contest from the station of David Sturm, HC5DX, in Azogues, Cuenca. His American callsign is WB4OZM. The staton elevation is 8300'. David calls it Carmen la Veranda.
David and his wife Allison are very fond of dogs.
And David is a gourmet cook.
The radios are an ICOM IC-7851 (right) and a FLEX 6300 (left).
With a lot of help from Dave, HC5DX, and Ted, HC5K, Paul received the temporary callsign HC5XMT and Charlotte got HC5IFT.
Paul and Charlotte operated the CQ WW CW 2019 using David's call, HC5DX. We made about 6.1M points.
