Dobarsko is a village in southwest Bulgaria about 20km north of Bansko, on the southern slopes of Rila with the westernmost Rhodope Mountains to the east and Pirin to the South.
The famous Dobarsko "singing grannies" (babi, in Bulgarian) keep the old traditions and the authentic folklore songs. They served us banitsa, a traditional cheese pastry.
The old 17th century Church Sv Sv Teodor Tiron and Teodor Stratilat is a small three-naved stone basilica half dug into the ground, noted for its original frescoes and icons.
Across the street is the Temple of the Presentation of the Lord, built in 1860.
