The Koprivshtitsa National Festival of Bulgarian Folklore was held 7-10 August 2025. Performances took place on six outdoor stages in the park on the foothills of the Sredna Gora mountain north of the town, which is 90 km north of Plovdiv in a valley along the Topoinitsa River. Begun in 1965, it is the only significant amateur Bulgarian music event.

We rented this house (Guest House Didka, apparently usually locally called "the yellow house") for the festival weekend. It is at the north end of town, not too far downhill from the festival stages site up in the foothills.
