The Commonwealth of the Bahamas is located within the Lucayan Archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean and comprises more than three thousand islands, cays, and islets located north of Cuba and north-west of Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos Islands, southeast of Floria, and east of the Florida keys.
