Bangkok Grand Palace

 The Grand Palace (Phra Burom Maha Ratcha Wag) complex in the center of Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River was the official residence of the king until 1925 and is still used for official events. Construction began in 1782. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phrakam) is a royal chapel, built in 1783.
