Thistlegorm

The most famous wreck in the Red Sea, the SS Thistlegorm was a 129m (420') World War II armed British supply ship sunk October 6, 1941 at Sha'ab Ali.It was bound from Glascow, Scotland, to Alexandrai, Egypt, with supplies for British troops, including tanks, armorered vehicles, aircraft, trunks, rifles, grenades, and notorcycles. The wreck is deep(52' to 105') and there is usually a strong current present. It is one of the most heavily-dived shipwrecks in the world.
