Black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis)

These animals are fairly common in Namibia. In the western part of Etosha, they come in to the waterholes every night to drink.

Photographed at a night hide in Okonjima.

Ratel (honey badger) (Mellivora capensis)

Also at Okonjima. They are also common in eastern Etosha. They are pugnacious.

Giant (Verreaux's) eagle owl (Bubo lacteus)

A pair of these enormous owls were nesting in a large tree next to a waterhole in western Etosha.
