Anemonefish (clownfish) are damselfish of the genera Amphiprion and Premnas. There are thirty species, three of which are known from the Maldives. They form symbiotic mutualisms with sea anemones.

Anthias (genus Pseudanthias) are colorful Indo-Pacific reef fish of the subfamily Anthiadinae. They eat zooplankton and are haremic. There are 63 species.
