Denpasar is the largest city and provincial capital of Bali, with about two million residents. The name Denpasar means "next to the market".

Bali Museum:

The museum has collections of weapons, sculptures, paintings, textiles, musical instruments, and theatrical masks. It was built in 1931 near the location of the Denpasar royal palace, which burnt to the ground during the Dutch intervention on Bali in 1906, and the museum is modeled after the palace. It is a popular location for pre-wedding photography.

Bajra Sandhi war museum:

The dioramas inside the Bajra Sandhi Monument portray the wars that were fought during Indonesia's fight for independence. This is also a popular pre-wedding photography venue.
